Oh Miss Presleigh

Today I spent the morning with Miss Presleigh who was 3 weeks old. She was awake AND ALERT the whole session! She never fussed at all! She calmly laid in all of the baskets and beds that I put her in. She was such a pleasure to play, I mean work, with.



She was such a happy girl.




She even held the flowers for a few pictures.





She was such an angel with this girly headband!



And she really enjoyed wearing this precious tutu!

Baby Cole

I have been so excited to photograph so many newborns lately. I love capturing this special time because it passes so quickly. They grow so fast during the first few weeks, that you may miss something if you blink. That is why I am so passionate about newborn portraits. Whether they are awake or asleep, I always love capturing these fleeting moments so that they will last a lifetime.






Today I had the pleasure of photographing Baby Cole. He was so sleepy, but didn't want to be bothered, ha! I woke him up nearly every time I moved him, but luckily he went back to sleep pretty easily. (At least for the first half of the session)





He modeled several hats, and even cooperated with this gorgeous vintage baby scale.



Mom really wanted him in the baby bed, but Mr. Cole had had just about enough of me, lol. But Mommy and I were determined. We tried...



...and tried, until finally, he decided it wasn't so bad.

Ava Grace

Oh how I love the sweetness of a fresh baby. Ava Grace was too precious for words. We got some great portraits of her. My favorite is the basket picture. As soon as I booked Ms. Ava Grace, I went straight to the store to buy this new prop I have been dreaming of. As it turns out, the basket wasn't her favorite, so I only got one image. Not the best shot either. But I was stubborn, I mean determined, to make it work. I am so in love with how it turned out! It was worth all the work.



After the flower basket picture, she slept like a dream for the rest of her session. We swapped hats and positions fairly easily. She is definitely a natural model!



I have been waiting for a fresh newborn to get this heads up pose. And, sleepy Ava Grace was more than willing! I adore these kissable cheeks!



She had to take a short break for a quick feeding, but once she topped off her tummy, back to sleep she went. What a precious little angel!

The Furr's

Today, I did a couple shoot for a friend of mine and her husband. Sabrina and Jabe are so perfect together, they just make you wanna smile! We went to some family property that was special to Sabrina growing up. Walking around this old house, you can see that many precious memories were made here. Although the house has been vacant for many years, at times it seems as if someone just moved out yesterday. I really enjoyed our session at this very sentimental home.

Anna Claire's birthday

Today I had the pleasure of photographing the beautiful Anna Claire. Anna Claire was my first newborn to photograph, and she is such an angel. Having her first birthday shoot on my birthday really made my day! We had so much fun!



She was as beautiful as ever in her birthday tutu.



She was even a princess eating her cake.



Well, at first...



Then she really got into it.





After all that fun, Anna Claire was ready for her bath.



I'm not sure what she enjoyed more, the cake or the bath afterwards..
