Sweet heart special

To me, Valentines Day has always been an expression of love. Sure I love diamonds, but I don't expect jewelry every year. I just want something meaningful for our relationship. What is more meaningful than creating images of your precious memories?

Sessions can be for couples or your children.

Ladies, want to surprise your man with something extra special....? You can have your own pictures made for him to cherish forever.

Because Valentine's Day is one of my favorite holidays, I am offering a sweetheart special for mini sessions at Pascagoula beach park for $40. Sweetheart minis will be held on January 23rd from 8:00-9:30. Session fee includes a 20 minute session, 1 8X10, and 2 5X7's. This is a savings of over 50%. Don't wait book your appointment now before they're all gone. 50% of session fee is due to hold your spot with the remaining balance due at session. Due to the nature of services, no refunds will be issued. However, fees can be transferred, or I will happily reschedule if given appropriate notice.

If you want to add the element of surprise, you can purchase a Valentine's day session at a special rate and then the giftee can redeem thier voucher whenever it is convienient for them.

So what are you waiting for? Give your sweetheart the best valentine's gift of all, an expression of love!

Home...

...It's where your story begins.

I have mentioned before that I was working on a project which is a reflection of my life in Pascagoula. I wasn't able to show it as this special project was a gift to my siblings for Christmas. However, now that Christmas has passed, I can show you all my project, Pieces of me.

This project was inspired by my sister, Angela, who asked me to create a collage of Pascagoula for her wall. There are a total of 9 images that we arranged in different sizes to accomodate her wall. These prints can all be ordered through my etsy shop www.RogansPhotography.etsy.com

I will be selling the collage in an 11X14 version in my etsy shop as well. Of course, I have replaced the Scovel Rd. street sign for those who didn't grow up there, lol. Here is a copy of that picture.

A family of four

My bestie Jennifer and her significant other, Rickey, wanted to have family portraits made with their furry kids, Skip and Chip. This was my first time to photography animals, but I welcomed the opportunity to create these special memories for my friend. Their dogs, I mean children, were very well behaved. Here are a few of my favorites from their session.

A train thundered past in the middle of our session and scared the poor babies to death. So while they sought shelter in the car, I used the opportunity to snap a few of the happy couple!

The Latch Family

Well, some of them have grown up and married, but Latch will always be in their blood! We tempted threatening weather to get these portraits for their Dad's Christmas gift, but he figured it out too soom! Nonetheless, he had to wait until Christmas to see the actual image. So without further adue...here are the Latch siblings.

I ruff you

This year I gave each of my siblings a collage of Pascagoula for Christmas, but since Angela already had those images in her wall display, I had to come up with something else just as special for her. I decided to take portraits of her baby dog, Sailor. Sailor is a very fearful pup, so this was not nearly as easy as it looks, but I am pleased with how they turned out. Here is Ms Sailor.

3 week old beauty queen

... Introducing precious baby Emma! What a beautiful baby, and momma too! Baby Emma made a very gorgeous model, but she really made me work for these shots. Poor thing had a tummy ache and didn't want to be bothered. But after some mylicon drops and a nice warm place to sleep, she did great!

Here is the sweet candy cane princess modeling her tutu made by our mutual friend, Hailey Barton. She was so precious with her matching bow!

Just had to share this precious image of her cutie patooty monogrammed booty. I can't wait to have a little girl of my own to dress up!

And lastly, I couldn't help but show off my newest prop from from www.bluebirdsboutique.com Her stuff is absolutely amazing. And, I even caught a sweet little smile!

The hardest part of being a photographer...

is taking portraits of my own children. Tyler will usually cooperate with minimal bribery, but Caiden, not a chance. He rips into my backdrops and then laughs hysterically, which would be good except that he is facing the backdrop that he just ripped down! I have learned that most toddlers do better in their natural environment, which is why I love going on location. I just follow the child's lead and capture their natural expresions.

For our Christmas pictures, we decided we would try the beach park. Caiden sat just about long enough for me to take off the lens cap, then off he went! Here is a sneak peak at our family portraits!

The fundamental job of a toddler...

...is to rule the universe. Well, that is exactly what my little man plans to do. And he has started with his own family! These are Caiden's 18 month portraits.

He is such a busy baby it is really hard to slow him down, but he did take a break from all of his craziness to look for fish.

He even made his "fish face" for us. Too cute. I love my little man.

Pascagoula project

Most of you know that I come from a large, close knit family. But now as we have become adults, we have all gone our seperate ways, some farther than others. With siblings spread from NY to KS and everywhere in between, we aren't able to get together as often as we'd like. My oldest sister, who is now in Memphis, TN, had asked me to capture images of Pascagoula that would represent our childhood memories as well as the history of the city. After much thought and a lot of work, I am really close to unveiling my "Pascagoula Project!" I can't wait to share it with you all as well.

The Vann clan

This past weekend I had the pleasure of photographing the Vann family. What a beautiful family and sweet too! I had a wonderful time taking your family portraits and meeting sweet baby Aiden.

I love this grip of love. I am always amazed at the strength newborns have in their tiny grips and how they instinctively reach for their mommy and daddy!

Aiden was such a good model. Even though he was already a month old, he actually went to sleep and let me move him around! What a great baby!

This sweet family was such a joy to photograph.

Little B came running up to my car when I pulled up to give me some art she had made for me. Sweetness! She was too cute for words. She really loved being a fairy princess.

Her sweet brother stole my heart too. He is such a little trooper!

Mom and dad I hope you enjoy your sneak peek!

America's next top model....Katie Bug

Little Miss Katie bug was such a great model. She never made a peep until it was time to eat and even then she was such a little lady. Hope you enjoy this little sneak peek from our session.
